Create the delicate, aged look of antique porcelain with Pentart Fineline Crackle Varnish. This water-based, two-component system produces fine hairline cracks and dries transparent, allowing your underlying design to remain visible.

Use it to add an antique crackle effect to decoupage, painted décor, transfers and furniture accents. The crack pattern varies with the thickness of the layers and your application technique, giving each project its own character.

How to Use

1. Start with a clean, completely dry project and clean, dry brushes.

2. Apply Component 1 evenly and allow it to dry completely.

3. Apply Component 2 over the dried first layer and let the cracks develop as it dries.

4. Highlight the cracks with Pentart Antique Paste or Liquid Patina.

5. Finish with a solvent-based varnish to protect the effect.

Important: The dried crackle layer is not waterproof. Avoid water-based sealers over the crackle finish.
